Roof tiles are on......

I was busy over the weekend and didn't get the chance to go past  the house.  So today, being very anxious, I drove down on my lunch break to go and check it all out.  And yes, there has been movement at the station.  Roof tiles are on, insulation is up and there were workers putting in the pumbing hoses while I was there.  All seems to be going well so far.

Roof is up, Windows and Alfresco doors in

I met with our Site Supervisor (SS) this morning.  Of course it had to rain so much that I couldn't do much of a walk thru and only managed to take 3 pics before the heavens opened up upon us.  Though the SS was really nice and informative.  Everything is as it should be and all is going well.  Roof is up and the timber windows to the front of the house are in and they look devine.  Also the windows for the rest of the house are in and the 3 timber stacker sliding door for the Alfresco is in as well.  Will go down over the weekend to check on the windows and to make sure they are all installed and working correctly. Let's hope we will have less rain over the weekend.

Slab Pour and Frame Up

Slab was poured on Monday 29 August.  They did a great job.  Then hubby drove past on Friday 2 Sept and said the framework was up.  Can't belive how fast they moved.  But it's looking really good and we're happy campers at the moment.

We took the kids to the block on Sunday, they were so excited.  They all went to their bedrooms and I told them to write their name and the date on a piece of timber in their room.  We won't see it after the house is finished, but it's good to know that behind those walls they have their names on it. Who knows, maybe in 200 years the house may get knocked down and someone will see their names written on the timber.  They loved doing it. I hope our SS won't get upset because we went in...hahahaha

Next will be the roof to go up.
